What To Expect From Pest Control Treatment

When we meet new customers who’ve never enlisted the help of a professional pest control service, they usually imagine something between the Ghostbusters and John Goodman’s character in Arachnophobia.

John Goodman

Of course, we have total admiration and respect for this spider slayer. But to be honest, pest control is a little less … dramatic.

Here’s what you can expect.

What Do Pest Control Companies Like Dixon Pest Services Do?

We can’t speak for the other guys, but at Dixon, we treat virtually every kind of pest common to Georgia and Florida. That includes

  • Rodents
  • Spiders
  • Termites

  • Bed bugs
  • Fire ants
  • Fleas
  • And more

As a first step, we will assess the level and type of infestation and then set up a plan to clear the pests from your home -- safely and thoroughly -- to ensure your total peace of mind.

Before your appointment

When we discuss your concerns on the phone -- whether you’re in the midst of an infestation or investing in preventative pest control -- We’ll provide you guidance on what you can do to prepare before we get there. That could include clearing out household items, foods, or furniture you suspect to be infested.

The inspection begins

Our specialists arrive promptly at your home carrying identification with them. They are always clean and professional.

They will check for sources of pests, like garbage cans, drains or cracks and crevices. They’ll discuss with you the costs, procedures, and preventions for the recommended treatment, and explain the behaviors, habits and risks of that infestation (if that’s relevant).

Then, our specialist will carry out the treatment as discussed with you. They will focus on both the exterior and interior of your home, thoroughly applying appropriate treatments that are environmentally friendly.

After the visit

After your home or business has been treated, your specialist will confirm for you what your treatment covers and prevents, and any findings you should be aware of. They may go over other steps that you need to take yourself, such as caulking crevices or cleaning out your pantry.

At this point, the specialist will provide you with a service report which outlines the treatment that’s been performed and answer any questions you might have.

Got any questions about the process? Get in touch. At Dixon Pest Services, we’re proud to put our family’s name on the line -- every time.
